Where the numbers come from
Live market data
OSRS prices come from the OSRS Wiki's real-time feed, which RuneLite players crowdsource, every minute. Albion prices come from the Albion Online Data Project, each shown with its age.
After every fee
Margins count the Grand Exchange's 2% tax and buy limits, and Albion's sales tax and setup fee, so the profit shown is the profit you keep.
Nothing to install
GameMargins is a website. It never connects to your game client or your account: it shows the numbers, and you do the trading yourself.
Questions
What is a flip?
Buying an item for less than players pay for it, and selling it again. In Old School RuneScape you put in a buy offer on the Grand Exchange at the low price and a sell offer at the high one; what's left after the 2% tax is your margin. GameMargins shows which items have the best margins right now, and does the same sums for crafting, bosses and trade routes.
Is GameMargins free?
Yes, and without an account: almost every tool is free with every result, search and filters, and OSRS prices renewed every half hour. Premium (€3.50 a month for every game, 7 days free to try) adds live prices, a few analysis tools (price movers, market indices, best money for your account, and Albion's focus, enchanting and Black Market upgrade planners), a watchlist, a flip log and price alerts.
Where do the prices come from?
Old School RuneScape: the OSRS Wiki's real-time prices, crowdsourced by RuneLite players and refreshed every minute. Albion Online: the Albion Online Data Project, which collects the prices players' game clients see. World of Warcraft: Forever: players scan the auction house with our free addon and upload the scan. MapleStory Classic: prices read off the screenshots players upload of the Free Market's search results and shops.
Can using GameMargins get my game account banned?
The website needs nothing installed and never connects to your game client or your account: it shows prices and calculations, and the trading you do yourself, in the game. The one exception is optional: the free WoW: Forever addon reads the auction house through the game's own addon interface, only when you click its scan button, the way auction house addons such as Auctionator have for years. It never plays or trades for you.
Do I need an account?
Not to use the tools. A free account (just your email, no password) keeps your MapleStory price list; Premium adds the watchlist, flip log and alerts.
Can I cancel Premium?
Any time, under Account > Subscription. Premium keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
Which games are next?
